The state is blessed with rich agricultural and natural resource endowment for the development of Niger State in the new millennium. Advancement can be made in developing the tourism, industrial, solid mineral, agricultural and  food processing sectors for sustainable development and poverty reduction. As part of the effort of the new Government of Niger  State, an environment will be created for the inflow of domestic and foreign investments as well as protect existing ones. To develop this vast resources, the State Government will set up Niger Industrial Development Authority (NIDA) to serve as a link between it and the business community. NIDA will offer the following incentives to prospective investors, such as, allocation of money annually to support agro-allied industries, facilitate timely issuance of certificate of occupancy of industrial or business sites, the development of information communications technology & industrial estates in each LGA, waiver of fees in respect of land transactions involving new businesses, exemption of new businesses from property rates for a specified period.

 

We will develop a culture of good governance that respects broad-based participation, transparency, accountability, integrity and fundamental human rights of the people for this socio-economic re-engineering to succeed. We will develop functional relationships with development experts, community based development associations, local, private sector, national and international donor agencies and non-governmental organisations (NGOs).
